Marisa King is a seasoned marketing strategist, consultant, and hospitality leader with more than two decades of experience helping brands and organizations tell their stories, engage communities, and create lasting impact. As the former Founder and Principal of Buzz Brand Marketing, she led successful campaigns and initiatives for national brands, executives, and cultural organizations for over 20 years. 

Marisa holds a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing from Pace University in New York City and a Strategic Leadership Certificate from Harvard University. She continues her work as an independent marketing and brand consultant, advising clients across industries on strategy, communications, and experiential engagement. She also serves as the Nighttime Economy Coordinator for the City of Dallas, where she works to strengthen the city’s vibrant cultural and hospitality landscape. 

A published author and inspirational speaker, Marisa is passionate about mentorship, empowerment, and using her platform to inspire others to pursue purpose-driven success. A proud mother of three, she brings both professional expertise and a deep personal commitment to community advancement—values that align strongly with the DeDe McGuire Foundation’s mission to empower women and families through education and opportunity.
